Your choices, explained
Privacy policy
Raylore (晴忆) is developed by Ray Zhang. This policy covers the iPhone app and these Raylore website pages. Effective October 12, 2026.
Your photos are organized on your device. We do not upload your photos, videos, library asset identifiers, or individual organizing decisions to a developer-operated server, advertising service, or analytics service.
Photos, videos, and on-device records
With your iOS Photos permission, Raylore reads selected or all accessible library items to display previews, revisit dates, and help organize your library. Photo dates and other metadata are used locally for these features. Organizing progress, review groups, and preferences are stored on your device. Raylore has no account or its own cross-device synchronization service. Uninstalling the app can remove local records.
Favorites, album changes, and confirmed deletions use Apple's Photos interfaces. Moving an item to Review does not itself delete it. Library changes may synchronize through iCloud Photos according to your Apple settings. Apple's Recently Deleted rules and device backups are managed by Apple, not Raylore. Change photo access in iOS Settings at any time.
Photo place names and reminders
When showing a photo's place name, Raylore can send that photo's existing coordinates to Apple's location service to obtain a readable place name. It does not request your device's current location. Photo coordinates are not passed to advertising or analytics. Optional reminders are local notifications and require permission; turn them off in iOS Settings.
Advertising and consent
Raylore includes a persistent Google AdMob banner. The app requests non-personalized ads, disables Google's publisher first-party ID, and does not request Apple's cross-app tracking permission. Non-personalized advertising still involves data processing: Google's Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, app or device identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and performance or diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent abuse.
Where applicable, Google's User Messaging Platform presents privacy consent choices. When ongoing privacy choices are required, reopen Ad privacy options in Settings. Optional analytics and ad choices are separate. We do not pass photos, library identifiers, photo coordinates, album names, or individual keep/review decisions to the ad SDK.
Optional app usage analytics
Usage analytics is off by default. If you enable Share usage analytics in Settings, Google Analytics for Firebase helps us understand which parts of Raylore are useful. Firebase is initialized for analytics only after you opt in.
When enabled, the service processes a pseudonymous analytics instance identifier, app and operating-system versions, device model, language, sessions and usage events, related advertising interaction statistics available through integrated SDKs, and network information such as an IP address used to derive an approximate region. Our custom events use fixed screen names, mode names, and broad group-size ranges. We do not send photo or video contents, photo asset identifiers, album names or identifiers, photo dates or coordinates, individual sorting decisions, typed input, or full error messages. We do not set a user ID.
The analytics integration does not collect IDFA; IDFV collection and analytics advertising storage, advertising user data, and personalization are disabled. Turning usage analytics off stops new collection, clears analytics data cached on the device, and resets the local analytics instance identifier. It does not retroactively delete data already processed on Google's servers.
Your privacy choices
In the app, use Settings to switch off Share usage analytics or open Ad privacy options when available. Manage photo access and reminders in iOS Settings. To change analytics on these pages, . For a privacy request or question, email crusade.ray@gmail.com.
These website pages
These pages are hosted by GitHub Pages. Hosting providers may process request information, including your IP address, for delivery, security, and operational logging. These Raylore pages load no Google Analytics script unless you allow it through Website privacy choices in the footer.
If allowed, website analytics uses cookies and pseudonymous identifiers, browser and device details, page visits, and approximate-region information. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization on these pages. Our page-view configuration omits URL query strings, fragments, and the referring URL. Analytics cookies set by these pages are configured for up to 60 days. Your choice is saved in this browser's local storage.
Turn website analytics off in the footer at any time. This stops new collection on these pages and removes their Raylore analytics cookies from this browser. App and website analytics choices are independent. Other sections of ray-zhang.xyz may have their own analytics settings.
Providers, retention, and your choices
Apple, Google, and GitHub process information according to their own policies, potentially in countries other than where you live. Google's advertising and analytics services retain data according to service settings and policies. Resetting a local identifier is not a request to delete all previously collected server data. We use analytics to improve Raylore and advertising to support the app. We do not operate a marketplace for photo information.
Read Apple's privacy policy, Google's privacy policy, Google's advertising explanation, and GitHub's privacy statement. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing. Contact us to discuss a request. Because Raylore has no account system and does not send us your photo library, we may be unable to identify a specific pseudonymous analytics record without additional information.
Support and updates
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content you share. We use it to answer questions, investigate issues, and maintain necessary support records. Avoid sending private photos or other sensitive content unless needed. We update the effective date above when this policy changes.
